Randstad guidelines for cookies

These guidelines for cookies (“the Guidelines”) are applicable to the use of cookies by Randstad Sweden Group AB and its subsidiaries (“Randstad”) on Randstad websites in Sweden, i.e. www.randstad.se , www.dfind.sewww.antenn.se and www.portal.randstad.se , as well as associated sub-sites, (“the Websites”). The Guidelines describe the cookies used on the Websites, the purpose and duration of the cookies (how long each cookie is stored) and how you can block or erase cookies.

Please note that if you do not allow us to use cookies, this may affect your use and experience of the Websites.

what are cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing data that are stored on your computer (or other internet-enabled devices, such as smartphones or tablets) when you visit a website. A cookie typically contains the name of the website that the cookie came from, the duration of the cookie (i.e. how long it will be stored on your device) and a value, usually a randomly generated unique number.

Cookies are used to make web pages function more efficiently, but also to provide some information to the owner of a website. Cookies make it possible to distinguish between different users, which in itself can give each user a more personalised and positive experience of the website.

what does Randstad use cookies for?

Randstad uses the necessary cookies required for the Websites to function properly. They are necessary to allow you to move around a Website and use its features. You do not need to accept essential cookies because they are required for us to provide the services you request.

The Websites also use cookies that make it possible to optimise the Websites’ features in order to improve your experience and to individualise future visits by remembering your user preferences. These cookies are also intended to confirm when you have logged into “My Randstad”, “My Dfind” or “My Antenn” and to authenticate users. We also use cookies for marketing and market research, including demographic studies, so that we can optimise and customise the quality of our services for you. Cookies are also used to compile anonymous, aggregated statistics to understand how users use the Websites and to help us improve their structure and content.

cookies used on Randstad Websites

There are three types of cookies on the Websites:

  • Persistent cookies, i.e. cookies that save a file on your computer for a prolonged period. Persistent cookies are used, for instance, with functions that describe what information is new since you last visited the specific Website. How long the cookie remains on your device depends on the duration of the specific cookie and your browser settings.
  • Session cookies, i.e. cookies that are temporarily stored in your computer’s memory while you visit a Website and as you browse around a page. Session cookies are used, for example, to determine which language you have chosen. When you leave a Website, the session cookies used are deleted.
  • Third-party cookies, i.e. cookies that belong to domains other than those displayed in the address bar. Third-party cookies make it possible to track the user’s web history.

The table below shows which individual cookies are used on our Websites, the purpose of each cookie and whether the information comes from or is disclosed to a third-party. The table also indicates whether a cookie is a persistent cookie, a session cookie or a third-party cookie. In addition, the table shows the duration for each cookie saved on the hard disk, which determines how long the cookie will be used.

how to block and/or delete cookies

Most browsers accept the use of cookies by default. You can change these settings so that you, the user, are warned whenever a cookie is sent to your computer or you can create a rule that blocks cookies. You can also choose to delete all the cookies stored on your computer.

The instructions for your browser or the help function with which most browsers are equipped explain how to delete stored cookies or change the settings for cookies. If you use different devices to view and access the Websites (for example your computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), you will need to ensure the browser on each device is set to your preferences regarding cookies.

Note that if you choose not to permit cookies to be stored, it is possible that you will not be able to use all parts of the Websites, and that some parts of the Websites may not function correctly.

Randstad may update these Guidelines from time to time. The date of the most recent change will be specified at the end of the Guidelines.

If you have any questions regarding these Guidelines or our use of cookies, please feel free to contact us at legal@randstad.se.

These Guidelines were updated most recently on the 30 of May 2017.
