Reporting to the Head of Business Development PreSales of our Gate business, the Technical Sales Engineer / PreSales (software) will be focused on Customer Technical Sales support and communicate on pre-sales activities to Customer/Supplier. This role involves 25% international travel days as our solutions are used at hundreds of airports across the globe, including the top 10 busiest airports. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work in an international company and to experience many different cultures around the world.

responsibilities.

As our Technical Sales Engineer / PreSales (software), you’ll create analysis of Customer technical requirements and support Regional Sales and Bid Management in preparation of Technical & Commercial proposals. You’ll bring solutions for Design Compliance and Cost Structuring for Customer Gate offer requests and handle Solution & Product presentations/ demos to customers. For preparing collateral & marketing material, you will need to do market research, technology assessment and competitive analysis. In the role you will also liaise & interface with Gate Regional Sales Champion on Business forecasting, Business modelling and proactive Gate Sales Campaigns. 

qualifications.

You are skilled in communication with people as you will be customer facing. You are able to read between the lines and understand the needs of the customer. You hold analyzing abilities, are solution-oriented and have IT/technical as well as business skills. You are positive and open to new challenges and enjoy working in different cultural environments. You are eager and interested to learn and know the airport industry. 

You have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferable) in IT/Engineering
  • 2-4 years of experience from a similar technical role or from a sales position
  • Knowledge of performing commercial/technical analysis, surveys, reporting, structuring and presenting value propositions and advising of potential solutions
  • High English proficiency is a must. Any additional language is an asset.
