In this role you will be responsible for commissioning, start-up and testing of mainly control systems, but also mechanical jobs on new building projects all over the world.
This role also involves troubleshooting, emergency repairs and sea trials.
In order to be successful in this role it is important to have high communication and social skills since you will be monitoring and coordinating the job with the customer and shipyard on site. As a person you are thorough and define yourself as a person with high working ethics. You are also expected to have good knowledge of both marine mechanical repairs and electronic repairs.

Extension: Full-time consultant through Randstad Engineering, at the end of the assignment there is a high probability that a permanent position will be offered from Caterpillar.
- Preferably you have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or automation engineering
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting
- High analytic ability
- A genuine interest for technology and machinery and the ability to work hands-on
- A flexible personality with high ability to take own initiatives
- A person who likes to solve problems independently with a great deal of responsibility
- Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge in administration and documentation
