The role as Senior Diagnostic System Engineer within Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration will give you the opportunity to be a member of a highly creative group, develop yourself and focus on leading cutting-edge technology development with the end customer in focus. You are leading the work in your technical area of expertise. Working closely with other functions in the area of Powertrain Engineering you will be part of developing the next generation of powertrain controls for conventional and new energy powertrains. Your role is an important function where you will follow and be a part of developments within Vehicle Emissions Standards around the world. We offer you a dynamic position where you have a strong possibility to influence and point out directions for the coming systems within several brands ( Geely Auto, Volvo Cars and Lynk & CO).
The function area of Powertrain Engineering at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the Controls & Calibration unit is responsible for the development and industrialization of the controls for new powertrain systems. Those systems are the main future and global technologies for the Geely Group. They are ranging from present combustion engines into new energy concepts. The Controls & Calibration development is carried out in-house using state-of-the-art methods.

Work responsibilities:

  • Lead the development in diagnostic related area.
  • Evaluate and review supplier documentation such as specifications, reports, etc.
  • Write the specifications for diagnostic on system level and where applicable support in writing specifications on component level.
  • Convey the consequences and implications of diagnostic to stake holders in- and outside of the development team.
  • Answer questions regarding standards and requirements related to diagnostic.
  • Analyze, provide feedback and develop procedures and processes e.g. for calibration, verification, validation or for software and function development.
Your background:

  • BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent education.
  • More than 10 years of relevant work- experience as a system engineer.
  • Experience working with Vehicle Emission Standards
  • Understanding of the development processes in diagnostic such as implementation, simulation, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Meritorious is knowledge in tools like Matlab and Simulink.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel and a driver´s license.
