job description.

Are you a structured, cooperative and service-minded Compensation & Benefits Specialist with an exceptional attention to details and processes? Then you could be our new Key player in implementation and development of our Compensation & Benefits strategy.

At Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) our mission is much more than delivering good products, technology and processes – working together to develop solutions based on our customers’ needs, and, thereby, achieving our business goals is a better description of our daily work. With curious co-workers and safety as our first priority, we create a work environment where you can grow both personally and professionally.

SMT has initiated an exciting journey to explore the possibility of a separate listing on the Nasdaq Stockholm Exchange – earliest in year 2022, provided that the circumstances are deemed right at the time. With a clear direction for our journey ahead, utilizing our position as technology leader, progressive customer partner and sustainability driver, we aim to become an even stronger and independent company within our industry.

Are you ready to take on this challenge together with us? We are already now starting to onboard several competences in the process to prepare for a new organizational set-up. Join our journey towards becoming a stand-alone company!

responsibilities.

As Senior C&B Specialist you work with SMT:s group functions and collaborate with our three divisions. In collaboration with local and global colleagues, as well as external partners, you build and implement a structure for Compensation & Benefits (C&B) – both strategically and operatively. You drive establishment and development of processes related to the area and with your knowledge and experience you are an important HR resource for colleagues and managers throughout the organization. This way you are a key player in developing our reward strategy, making sure it meets our current and future business needs and is consistent with the organization's desired internal and external market position.

Going more in depth, the above mission involves providing consultation, analysis and decision-making on total compensation elements to HR and line management. This includes base salary management, bonus design and delivery, merit review, job framework design and project management of initiatives within C&B area. Furthermore, you conduct and participate in external salary surveys, analyze and evaluate internal data about the organization's current employee population. Also, you annually prepare and review pay ranges and ensure compliance with local legislative frameworks and/or our C&B policies.

qualifications.

We are looking for someone with a high knowledge level within C&B and HR processes in general. You are a skilled project manager and very savvy with Excel. If you also have experience with Power BI, that is a big plus.

Much emphasis is put on your personal attributes. This role requires problem solving, analytical thinking and ability to interpret and structure numbers and complex data. Furthermore, you need strong communication and pedagogical skills, in order to network with and influence people throughout the organization.

We are a company with an open-minded culture, actively working to create a workplace that is characterized by diversity and inclusion.

What’s fun about the job?
In this position you will get the chance to take ownership of your area and have much influence on how we develop our reward strategy. As we are exploring becoming a stand-alone company this aspect of “owning” and building your area of responsibility comes into play even more. Also, you will act in a global setting.
