We are in search of a Production Manager to Lignin Industries AB in Knivsta. If you are an experienced manager within industrial production, this might be the right opportunity for you!

Lignin Industries is an innovative company in a strong growth phase. The company focuses on replacing fossil plastics with degradable bio-based materials based on the forest residue lignin.

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the production of lignin alongside three process operators who you will manage in their day-to-day work. As the company grows, your team of operators will expand. You will be a key player in setting structures and optimizing the production flow. The nature of the role is both strategic and operational. It is of great importance that you are able to work hands-on, when needed. You will report to the CTO.

responsibilities.

The Production Manager ensures that the manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. You optimize and streamline the production in a structured way, which means that you and your team produces products safely and cost-effectively in a timely manner that meets the required quality standards. You are responsible for the production planning and managing the process operators in a way that makes both the team and company reach their milestones.

Due to the rapid growth of Lignin Industries, the position has dynamic elements and will initially involve supply chain-related tasks. You will be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management.

In summary, your responsibilities include:
  • Production planning and follow-up 
  • Personnel responsibility
  • Keep records of batches
  • Quality control
  • Ordering raw materials that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate
  • Shipment and delivery-related inquiries

Full time. Daytime Monday - Friday.

qualifications.

  • Managing experience from manufacturing/producing industry. It is meritorious with experience within the plastics industry.  
  • Production management experience, and well used to plan and production optimization. 
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English. English is the daily language used at the company. 
You have the ability to initiate activities, coach and direct personnel towards production goals and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization. You have a good way of structuring, planning and prioritizing the assignments for your team. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. You have a strategic mindset that enables you to see the long-term consequences of your decisions.
