job description.

We are looking for an experienced controller to support the Technical Operations organization at Swedish Orphan Biovitrum. Tech Ops include activities such as internally managed manufacturing, externally outsourced manufacturing, CMC development, Quality Assurance and supply chain. The person will join the head quarter Business Control team located in the head office in Stockholm but work closely with controllers in other functions and countries. The Tech Ops controller team consists today of 3 people where there are two manufacturing controllers sharing similar responsibilities but for different product areas. There is also one person working partly for the Supply Chain organization within Tech Ops and partly supporting other corporate functions at HQ Sweden. 

responsibilities.

  • Have own responsibility to provide financial support to a part of the managers/teams within Tech Ops
  • Be responsible for specific set of products, financial support and control such as managing standard product cost calculations for these products
  • Oversee and prepare month-end closings and consolidations, ensuring corporate reporting requirements are met
  • Maintain SPC (standard product cost) calculations ensuring accurate cogs accounting.
  • Being a business partner providing financial consultation and support to tech ops managers in own responsibility areas
  • Leader of applicable financial processes for assigned teams such as forecasts, annual operating plans/budget and strategic planning according to group requirements
  • Be an active member of the central Business Control team, participating in various finance or BC projects and processes

  • Experience from controlling in manufacturing or supply chain operations. Relevant experiences from manufacturing operations and/or supply chain are of higher importance.
  • Experience from working with standard cost calculations and related allocation methodologies are required, as well as - from working with performance management and KPI’s to monitor and further improve efficiency is highly valued
  • Background in pharmaceutical or highly regulated business is of a high value but not a requirement
  • Ability to understand the full circle production cost manufacturing and at the same time bring strong operational skills with a hands-on “get things done” attitude
  • Relevant education, business administration or equivalent
